Daily Bible: Verse Widget cares about your privacy. The app only collects minimal, anonymized analytics to help us improve the widget experience - for example, how often the widget refreshes, which widget sizes are used, app version, and crash counts. We do not collect Bible content you view or any of your personal messages.
We use a third-party analytics provider, TelemetryDeck, to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data from the app. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-first analytics platform designed to avoid collecting personally identifying information and to be GDPR/CCPA-friendly. Analytics events are sent from the app to TelemetryDeck’s API endpoint over HTTPS. TelemetryDeck processes the data in an anonymized/aggregated way and retains analytics per their policies. TelemetryDeck positions itself as not collecting data governed by GDPR/CCPA as personal data, and therefore—according to TelemetryDeck—does not legally require an opt-out for the kinds of anonymized analytics it provides. However, we still respect user choice and provide a way to opt out inside the app. If you prefer not to send any analytics, disable the "Send analytics" toggle in the app Preferences - the app will stop sending TelemetryDeck events. Because the analytics we collect are anonymized and do not identify you, there is typically no personal data record to delete. If you have questions about what we collect or want confirmation that your device has been opted out, contact us (details below) and we will respond promptly.
TelemetryDeck is a third-party service. We do not share analytics with advertisers. We may link or integrate anonymized events with other services we use to operate the app (for example to correlate subscription or in-app purchase events for troubleshooting) - if we do so it will be for app maintenance and product improvement only.
We only transmit analytics over encrypted connections (HTTPS). TelemetryDeck applies industry-standard measures to protect analytics data. Note that no system is 100% secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect analytics tied to children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information about a child, contact us and we will investigate.
